Day Nine (Monday June - 4)
Monday:
Breakfast was at the hotel and we had pancakes and eggs. We then left Blarney and headed towards Killarney to our next hotel. This was the hotel that was part of an old castle - Dunloe Castle. The took an old castle, restored it and added on to the side and back to have a lot of rooms. We splurged a little on this place especially since it is a 5 star hotel! LOL! However, it was not much more per night than the little room we had in Dublin so it was not that bad. But the grounds for this hotel are spectactular! It borders a national park and has cow and horse pastures surrounding it.
Our view from our balconey is breathtaking. We have the hills that are part of the Ring of Kerry in the background with beautiful horses grazing near our window. Every night, little bunnies come over to the gardens to eat some of the flowers before it gets to dark.
It took us a couple of hours to get here so we just ate lunch here at the hotel and then ventured to the city center for a little bit before returning back to the hotel.
